OF THE
BURLINGAME PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD
January 16, 1973
CALL TO ORDER:
A regular meeting of the Burlingame Library Board was called to order on the above given
date at 7:35 p.m. by Chairman Phelan.
ROLL CALL:
Trustee Present: Trustees Phelan, Cohendet, De Martini, Hechinger
Trustees Absent: Trustee Lynes, excused due to recuperation from surgery
BILLS:
Warrants in the amount of $7,357.29 were ordered paid on a motion by Trustee De Martini,
seconded by Trustee Cohendet and carried. On a motion by Trustee Hechinger which was
seconded by Trustee DeMartini and carried, Special Fund bills totaling $367.73 were
ordered paid.
MINUTES:
The minutes of the meeting of December 19, 1972, were ordered filed and were approved as written.
LIBRARIAN'S REPORT:
Trustee Phelan suggested that each Trustee visit the Easton Drive Branch Library before
the next Board meeting since the report regarding it would be submitted at the next
meeting. The other Trustees agreed with Trustee Phelan.
The Librarian stated that the candy canes and Christmas trees were donated by the Lions
Club. At this time it was moved by Trustee Hechinger, seconded by Trustee De Martini and
carried that Trustee Lynes be excused from absence due to his need for recuperation from
surgery.
CORRESPONDENCE:
A letter was received from the library staff thanking the Board for the gift ham given for
their Christmas party.
A letter was received from Mrs. Donald M. Teixeira, Chairman of the Burlingame Arts Council,
thanking the Board for the loan of library furniture.
NEW BUSINESS: None
OLD BUSINESS: None
Trustee De Martini stated that on behalf of the Board of Trustees he wished to welcome
Donna Hansen back to the Board meetings after her absence due to surgery.
ADJOURNMENT:
As there was no further business, the meeting was then adjourned at 8:10 p.m. with the next
meeting scheduled for February 20, 1973.
