I.FHEREAS, the local 'idar Chest campaign which starts October 2, is
part of a nation-wide effort to seek funds for 19 war -
related organizations together with home -front welfare
and health agencies, and
=R_AS, the services provided by these a+ar Chest affiliates are
vitally important to continued strength on our fighting
front, the T.lnited Nations front, and the home front,
and
�,HEREAS, we at home cannot now fail our men in uniform who are
scattered on battle fronts all over the world.
THEREFORE, 3E IT RESOLTED THAT:
:de, the members of the Burlingame City Council, hereupon
endorse the San T,"ateo County liar Chest campaign as an
important part of our war effort and ask every loyal
citizen of our community to put forth every effort
toward the attainment of the R215,000.00 ..ar hest goal.
The foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council held on Leptember 18, 1944, and adopted by
the following vote:
