RESOLUTION NO. 7 -84
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY
OF SAN MATEO WHICH PERMITS THE CITY'S PARTICIPATION IN THE COUNTY'S
HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame
State of California, that j
WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, Public
Law 93-383, enacted August 22, 1974, and the Housing and Community Devel-
opment Act of 1977, Public Law 95-128, enacted October 12, 1977, both
provide for the distribution of federal funds through the process of com-
munity development block grants to eligible public entities; and
WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo has heretofore qualified as an
urban county under the Act, and the County again extends an invitation for
cooperation and co -participation of non -entitlement cities in the County's
application for federal assistance under the Act; and
WHEREAS, the City of Burlingame ___ha s previously entered into
a Cooperation Agreement with San Mateo County for participation in the
Housing and Community Development Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Burlingame desires to continue its par-
ticipation in the Housing and Community Development Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Cooperation Agreement
with San Mateo County be, and the same is hereby approved, and the mayor
is hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement for and on be-
half of the City
