A 13.9% increase at the Branch and 5.2% at the Main. The foot traffic at the Main increased 2.4% and general reference activity climbed 14.2%. This increase is considerably less than the previous month and is probably due in part to the extraordinary fine weather. However, if every month's activities increases as much as April, we would have a hard time keeping up. REFERENCE DEPARTMENT: C.A.P.T.U.R.E. Engravers: The Reference Department is now circulating C.A.P.T.U.R.E. engravers for residents to mark their personal belingings with their driver's license number. On return of the engraver, the patron is given stickers to affix to the entrances to his hog:= Marked belongings may then be easily identified by the Police Department should t'.. . be stolen. This was adopted to remain consistant with Peninsula Library System procedures for interlibrary loans which allow PLS-ILL requests to be taken over the telephone. `.
