RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENTS TO THE BUDGET
FOR THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2007
FOR PURCHASE OF FIRE LADDER APPARATUS
RESOLVED by the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF BURLINGAME that:
WHEREAS, the City adopted its budget in June 2006, which included capital purchases
of equipment; and
WHEREAS, the City has intended to purchase a replacement fire ladder apparatus in
Fiscal Year 2007-2008; and
WHEREAS, by prepaying for the fire ladder apparatus for delivery in 2007-2008, the
City will save $38,545 on the purchase price, and this savings is greater than if the purchase
money were invested during the purchase and delivery period; and
WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the Equipment Replacement Fund to make this
prepayment and purchase,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED AS FOLLOWS:
1. The budget for Equipment Replacement for the Central County (Burlingame) Fire
Department for fiscal year 2006-2007 is amended by appropriating $700,000 from the Equipment
Replacement Fund for purchase of a fire ladder apparatus. a

that the foregoing resolutions were introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on
