HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 066-2011RESOLUTION NO. 66-2011 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE BURLINGAME DOWNTOWN SPECIFIC PLAN RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame that: WHEREAS, on October 4, 2010, the City Council adopted the Burlingame Downtown Specific Plan after three years of study and community meetings; and WHEREAS, the City Council is now considering zoning changes to implement the Downtown Specific Plan, and in the process of refining the zoning regulations, it was found that changes were required to the Land Use and Development Standards tables contained in the Downtown Specific Plan; and WHEREAS, a Mitigated Negative Declaration was prepared and approved on October 4, 2010 in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, and it was determined that with the mitigation measures proposed and incorporated into the Standard Conditions of Approval for all projects incorporated into the Burlingame Downtown Specific Plan, there are no potential significant environmental impacts from adoption of this specific plan; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the changes to the tables clarify the uses and development standards in certain areas of the plan, and do not alter the determination made, and the mitigation measures contained in the approved Negative Declaration continue to apply with these amendments; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame, after proceedings duly and regularly held as provided by law, did on July 25, 2011, make a recommendation to the City Council to approve the amendments to the land use and development standards tables of the Downtown Specific Plan as an amendment to the General Plan and ordered it to be transmitted to the City Council for further proceedings as required by law; and WHEREAS, the City Council, after this public hearing, and after due consideration of the minutes and recommendations of the Planning Commission, and acceptance of the Mitigated Negative Declaration, finds that the Burlingame Downtown Specific Plan should be adopted as an amendment to the General Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, it is RESOLVED and ORDERED by this City Council that 1. The amendments to the Land Use and Development Standards tables of the Burlingame Downtown Specific Plan, as shown on the attached Exhibits A and B, is hereby adopted. Findings for such amendments to the Burlingame Downtown Specific Plan are as set forth by the Planning Commission at its July 25, 2011 meeting, by the City Council at its (Jcil meeting hand %in this Resolution.
