RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A SERVICE
AGREEMENT WITH GRANICUS FOR AGENDA MANAGEMENT AND
VIDEO STREAMING
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame:
WHEREAS, the City of Burlingame contracts with Granicus for video streaming and
distribution of live and archived video and audio content; and
WHEREAS, the City has been very satisfied with the services provided by Granicus to
date, including providing residents with searchable access to all video of City Council meetings
and, as of May 2013, all Planning Commission meetings; and
WHEREAS, the City would like to expand these efforts through the implementation of
agenda management and distribution services, which would streamline the meeting agenda and
packet creation process, saving staff time and paper and copying costs while ensuring timely
production and distribution of packet materials; and
WHEREAS, the proposed program would create a public portal for searching legislation
and upgrade the City's current streaming service to allow for streaming and searching on mobile
devices; and
WHEREAS, funding for the video streaming and distribution of live and archived video
and audio content and the agenda management service was included in the City Clerk's Office
budget for FY 2013-14,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to execute the Service Agreement with Granicus for agenda
management and video streaming.
