A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BURLINGAME ACCEPTING THE PACIFIC LIBRARY
PARTNERSHIP GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,000.00 AND THE
CALIFORNIA STATE LIBRARY LSTA GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF
$4,926 TO FUND THE BURLINGAME PUBLIC LIBRARY'S DIGITAL
LOCAL HISTORY PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Burlingame has applied for and has been awarded two grants in the amount of
$9,926.00 for the Burlingame Digital Local History Project. $5,000 has been awarded from the Pacific
Library Partnership to fund an Innovation and Technology Opportunity Grant Program and the California
State Library awarded $4,926 in federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Burlingame, California that the
above referenced grants are hereby accepted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to sign the grant agreements
on behalf of the City of Burlingame and that the signature constitutes acceptance of the terms and
conditions of the grant agreements and approves the execution of the grants; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Library Director is hereby authorized to execute grant
documents as an authorized representative for the City of Burlingame; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Fiscal Year 2012-13 Budget be amended to appropriate the
amount of $9,926.00 of grant funding to be expended;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
1. All the facts recited above, in the staff report and supporting documentation are true and
correct and the Council relies upon same in accepting the grant.
2. The City Council approves the acceptance of the grant revenue and amends the Fiscal Year
2012-13 Budget to include the additional appropriation.
3. The budget amendment shall become effecfive !n= 13.

I, Mary Ellen Kearney, City Clerk of the City of Burlingame hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Burlingame City
Council held on March 4, 2013 by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers: BAYLOCK, BROWNRIGG, DEAL, KEIGHRAN, NAGEL
NOES: Councilmembers: NONE
ABSENT: Councilmembers: NONE
