Board of Trustees
Minutes
August 15th, 1995
Call To Order:
The meeting of August 15th, 1995 was called to order by President
Robertson at 4:35pm.
Trustees Present: Cannon, Dunbar, Herman, Robertson &Taylor
Trustees Absent: None
Staff Present: Al Escoffier, City Librarian
Judy Gladysz,Administrative Secretary
Others Present: Marti Knight, Burlingame Resident
Bills:
M/S/C (Taylor/Herman) unanimously to approve the payment of City
checks.
Minutes of the Meeting of June 20th, 1995:
The Minutes were approved as written and ordered filed.
Correspondence and Communication:
Correspondence was mailed in the Trustee packets.
Reports:
a. City Librarian's Report:
Trustee Herman extended a big "Congratulations" to the staff on the
incredible job they did during the move. She said the ribbon cutting ceremony was
very nice. The Trustees expressed a real vote of thanks to the staff.
The Board decided to send letters to the sponsoring near-by businesses
thanking them for providing the coffee and doughnuts for opening day.

Mary Herman brought the Board members up-to-date on the status of the
Foundation.
Unfinished Business:
None
New Business:
a_ Library Board Election of Officers for July 1995 through June 1996:
Trustee Herman nominated Secretary Dunbar for President. Trustee Cannon
seconded the nomination and it was unanimously carried. Trustee Cannon then
nominated Trustee Herman for Secretary. Trustee Dunbar seconded the
nomination and it was carried unanimously. Newly nominated President Dunbar
thanked Trustee Robertson for her past year of service.
Adjournment:
The meeting was adjourned at 5:OOpm. The next regular Board meeting will
be held on September 19th, 1995 at 4:30 in the Conference Room at 130 Park Road.
