HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 077-2015RESOLUTION NO. 77-2015 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME ACCEPTING THE GRANT OF AN EASEMENT TO THE CITY OF BURLINGAME FOR THE INSTALLATION OF WATER SYSTEM FACILITIES AT 1500 EASTON DRIVE The City Council of the City of Burlingame does resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the City of Burlingame receives its potable water from San Francisco Public Utilities Commission Water System through six connection points; and WHEREAS, the City needs to install a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system at each of the connection points to remotely monitor functioning of the pressure reducing valves, monitor and control water pressure fluctuations, and track water distribution data; and WHEREAS, one of the connection points is located in an existing public utility easement along the EI Camino Real frontage of 1500 Easton Drive; and WHEREAS, in order to install the SCADA system at this location, the City requires an additional easement from the property owner of 1500 Easton Drive; and WHEREAS, staff prepared the easement plat and legal description, obtained an appraisal of the desired easement, and negotiated with the property owner of 1500 Easton Drive, First Presbyterian Church of Burlingame, for the easement g r ant in the amount of $3,600. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED BY THE COUNCIL, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The City Council hereby accepts the grant of an easement to the City of Burlingame for water system facilities at 1500 Easton Drive, authorizes the payment of $3,600 to secure said easement, and directs staff to take necessary actions for its recordation.
