A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONSTRUCTION
CONTRACT FOR THE SANCHEZ BYPASS AND NEIGHBORHOOD SEWER
REHABILITATION PROJECT PHASE 4 TO
K.J. WOODS CONSTRUCTION, INC.
CITY PROJECT NO. 82623
WHEREAS, on April 28, 2015, the City issued notice inviting bid proposals for the
SANCHEZ BYPASS AND NEIGHBORHOOD SEWER REHABILITATION PROJECT PHASE 4,
CITY PROJECT NO. 82623; and
WHEREAS, on May 27, 2015, all proposals were received and opened before the City
Clerk and representatives of the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, K.J. WOODS CONSTRUCTION, INC., submitted the lowest responsible bid
(base bid) for the job in the amount of $2,238,000; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends that Council award the base bid of $2,238,000 and two
alternate bids of $228,000 for a total award of contract amount of $2,466,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, and it is hereby ORDERED, that the Plans
and Specifications, including all addenda, are approved and adopted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of K.J. WOODS CONSTRUCTION, INC., for
said project in the amount of $2,466,000, and the same hereby is accepted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract be entered into between the successful
bidder identified above and the City of Burlingame for the performance of said work, and that
the City Manager be, and hereby is, authorized for and on behalf of the City of Burlingame to
execute said contract and to approve the faithful performance bond and the labor materials
bond required to be furnished by the contractor.

the foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the
15TH day of June, 2015, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
