AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION OF SEVER
LATERALS WITHIN THE CITY OF BURLINGAIME AND FIXING THE CHARGE THEREOF*
THE BOARD CF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY Or BURLIKGMAE DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS. -
Section 1. The City of Burlingame reserves the right to direct
and supervise the laying and connecting of all sewer laterals within
the City of Burlingame.
Section 2* Whenever sewer laterals are to be ldLid and connected
with the sewer mains of any main sewers within the City of Burlingame,
the person, firm or corporation desiring to lay and connect same must
apply in writing to the Superintendent of Streets of the City of Bur-
lingame, stating the

Section 3* Upon the written application of any person, firm or
corporation to lay and connect sewer laterals within the City of Bur-
lingame, the Superintendent of Streets shall cause an estimate to be
Aiade of the cost of excavation for sewer pipe and sewer wyess together
with the cost of laying and connecting the sewer laterals to the main,
and thereupon make out a bill for the total cost and collect same from
the applicant*

Section 4* A1�_e�,�Pexrintendent of Streets of the City y of Burlingame
shall thereupon cause the sewer lateral to be installed and connected,
to the City Treasurer
and shall account forthwith/for all moneys received*

Sect . ion 5* This Ordinance shall not apply to proceedings carried
out by the Board of Trustees of the city of Burlingame under any Stab -14
tutes of the State of California*
Section 6* Any person, firm or corporation violating any of
the provisions of this Ordinance shall upon conviction thereof be fined
or by imprisonment
in a sum not less than $20,00 car amore than 0100*00s
in the City Jail not to exceed one month or by both said fine and
imprisonment#
Section 7. This Ordinance shall be published for two succes.
