AN ORDINANCE REGULATING TH'It, .STAKIN." OR RUNNING AT
LARGE OF ANIMALS IN THE CITY OF BURL TN-AKE:
The Board of Trustees of the City of Burlingame do
ordain as follows:
Section. 1. It shall be unlawful for any person owning
or having the control of any horse, mare, gelding, bull,
cow, steer, calf, mule, jack, jenny, pag, sheep, goat or
any other animal) except the cormnonly know and designated
domestic aniL,2als, namely, dog'and cat, to stake or tie
or leave staked or tied on any unfenced or open lot in the
City of Burlingame any of the above designated animals,
whereby said staking or tiering said animals would cause
said aninal or animals to encroach on property either
public or private, beyond the boundaries of the lot or lots
owned or in the legal possession of such person or persons
staking out or tieing said animal or animals or causing
to stake or tie said animal or ar_imals;
Section 2. It shall be unlawful for any person owning
or having the control of any horse, mare, gelding, bull,
cow, steer, calf, mule, jack, jenny, pig, sheep, goat or
any other animals, excepting the commonly known and
designated domestic animald, &xauJt namely dog and cat,
to stake or tie or leave staked or tied during the night time
any of the above narle:i animals in any unfenced or open lot or
lots or any street, square or alleway in said City;
Section 3. Night time as herein mentioned shall be construed
as the time intervening bet -,ween one hour after sunset and
onAhour before sunrise, that erson as herein mentioned shall
be construed as to include ;� lm� as well as Jt"a4*-«lso

Section 11. This Ordinance shall bit published for two successive
rublicxtions and be in force acid 6PPect from and after the date
of it s passage;
Section 5. Any person violating any of the provisions of this
Ordinance shall upon conviction herein be fined in a sum not
to exceed 2p100 or by imprisonment in the City jail not to
exceed thirty days or by both said fire and imprisonment;
