An Ordinance re;ulating the moving of buildings or
structures in the City of Burlingame.
The Board of Trustees of the.City,of Burlingame do
ordain as follows:
Section 1. It shall bp unlawful for any person, firm
or corporation to move or cause to be moved any building or
structure from any premises, land or lot within or without
the City of Burlingame to any other premises, land or lot
within: the City of z3urlingame onto or along any street, alley,
s-;ua.re or public place or highway within the City of Burlingame
without first having made written application to the Building
Inspector of the City of Burlingame, stating the name of the
owner or leasee;, location where the building or structure
is to be moved from find the location where the building or
structure is to be moved to;
Section 2. It shall be the duty of the Building
Inspector upon the filing of such application, accompanied
by a, bond Rufficient in amount to clover any damages to the
streets or property; and which bond shall be approved by said
Inspector, to forthwith make an iRipection of the building
or structure, for which inapection he shall receive from the
applicant the sum of t,3;
Section 3. If said Inspector shall find that said
building or structure can bra Made to comply with the Building
Ordinance of said City after a replacement, than he s;ha.11
issue a permit to move the same; but if round impracticable
to Conform with said Building Ordinance after replacement; them
it ehzll be the duty of said inapactor to deny same.
Section 4. All Ordirnatacas or parts of Ordinances in
conflict with this Ordinance are expressly repea.led.
'Qectior 5. Any person, firm or corporation violating
any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall upon conviction
thereof be fixed in a sum rot to axe, -,id 0100 or by imprison -
Mort in the City Jail not to exceed one month or by both said
fine and imprisonment;
Section 6. This Ordinance shall be published in the
Burlingame Advance as prescribed by law and be in force and
effect from and after the day of its. pas€aye.
