AN ORDINANCE REGULATING ANNUAL
LICENSE FEES OF CONTRACTORS WITHIN
THE CITY CF BURLINGAIM.

The City Council of the City of Burlingame do ordain
as follows:
Section 1. Any person conducting the business of
contractor and having a fixed place of business in said city shall
pay an annual license fee as follows:

Whenever any business of contractor as above set forth
shall be commenced more than three (3) months after the beginning
of the fiscal year, the license fee shall be three-fourths (3/4)
of the annual license fee as herein provided; if corunenced more than
six (6) months after the beginning of the fiscal year, the license
fee shall be one-half of the annuallicense fee as herein provided;
and if commenced more than nine (9) months after the beginning of
the fiscal year, the license fee shall be one-fourth (1/4) of such
annual license fee as herein provided. This pro -rating of license
fee shall only apply as an initial fee for the year in_,which busi-
ness is commemed, and thereafter all fees shall be paid'on the
annual basis as herein set forth and shall be payable at the beginning

of each fiscal year.
Section 2, Where such person has no fixed place of
business in said city, such fee shall be increased by one hundred
per cent (100%), and where such person does more than one (1) of
said business as mentioned in paragraph 1 of this ordinance, he
shall pay the higher license fee plus one-half (1/2) of the lesser
tax or license on such other business or businesses.
Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions
of this ordinance, shall, upon conviction thereof, for each offense
committed, be fined in the sum not to exceed One Hundred Dollars
(6100.00), or imprisonment not to exceed ten (10) days in the City
Jail, or both said fine and imprisonment.
Section 4. All ordinances in conflict with this ordi-
nance shall be repealed in the particulars as herein mentioned as
to the amount of license.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be pullished in the
"Burlingame Advance Star" in the manner, and for the time required
by law, and shall be in force and effect from and after the date of
its passage.

regularly passed the 19th day of DecernDer, 1932, by the following
