AN ORDINANC.Ii] DECLARING A NUISaNCE AND PROHIBITING THE
GIVING Al AY, SALE IR USE OF BERMUDA GRASS IN
TIE CITY OF BURLINGAI W.
The City Council of the City of Burlingame do ordain
as follows:
Section 1. The giving away, sale or use of Bermuda
Grass in the City of Burlingame is deemed a nuisance, except as
hereinafter provided.
Section 2, It shall be unl_wful to give away, sell, or
use within the City of Burlingame an y grass commonally known as
Bermuda Grass, except as hereinafter provided.
Section 3. In case it is n.ac:ssary to use Bermuda Grass
on any athletic fields or athletic running paths in the City of
Burlingame, the party or parties desiring to use same shall apply
to the City Council for a permit for said use, stating the particular
reasons for said use. The Council shall have the right to permit
or deny the application.
Section 4. Any person violating any of the provisions
thereof, shall be fined in the sum not to exceed Fifty Dollars
($50.00) or imprisonment in the City jail not to exceed five (5)
days or both said fine and imprisonment.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be published in the
Burlingame Advance -Star for the time and in the matter prescribed
by the Law and be enforced and affected from and after the day of
its passage.
INTRODUCED this 7th day of ])ecember, 1936, and duly and
regularly passed this 28th day of December, 1936, by the following
vote:
