HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0307ORDINANCE NO. 307 AN ORDINANCE AYIENDING SECTIONS 81, 1.1,AND 64 OF ORDINANCE NO. 178 OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME. THE CITY COU14CIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1, Section 81 of Ordinance No. 178 of the City of Burlingame is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 81: Taxicabs, automobiles and buses. Any persoai, firm or corporation engaged in the transportation of passengers in taxi -cabs, automobiles or buses, for hire, within the limits of the City of Burlingame shall pay a license fee of Five Dollars per annum for each taxi -cab, auto- mobile or bus engaged in such business. Section 2. Section 74 of Ordinance No. 178 of the City of Burlingame is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 74: Theatres. Any person, firm or corpora- tion owning or conducting a theatre, having a seating capacity of not more than 1,000 persons shall pay a license of $125.00 per year. Any person. firm or corporation owning or conduct- ing a theatre having a seating capacity of from 1,000 to 2,000 persons shall pay a license of x;175.00 per year. Section 3. Section 64 of Ordinance No. 178 of the City of Burlingame is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 64: physicians and Surgeons. Any person, firm or corporation engaged in the business and practice of medicine and surgery shall pay a license of $12.00 per year. Section 4. This ordinance shall be published in the "Burlingame Advance -Star" for the time and in the manner pre- scribed by law, and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage.
