AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6 OF
ORDINANCE No. 227 OF THE CITY OF
BURLINGAD:E .
The City Council of the City of BurlinF"iae do ordain
as follows:
Section 1. Section 6 of Ordinance No. 227 of the City
of Burlingame is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 6: Residential District. In the residential
district no piece, parcel, lot or premises and no building thereon
shall be used, and no building shall be constructed or altered
thereon which is arranged, intended or designated to be used for
any purpose other than for the following:
1. Single family dwelling
2. School
3. Ohurch
4. Club House
5. Public buildings, parks and playgrounds
6. The usual accessories located on the same lot or
parcel of land with the above named buildings not
involving the conduct of a business, but including
(a) the office of a musician, architect,
physician, artist, attorney or dentist or other
person authorized by law to practice medicine, when
situated in the same dwelling, when used by such
person as his or her place of residence, provided,
however, that when it appears that the particular
profession or calling as herein mentioned is followed
or practiced jointly by a husband and wife in the
same dwelling used as their place of residence,
then said privilege or permission shall be granted
and allowed jointly, and provided that the
particular professional use to which said dwelling
is made shall not be put to any different and
additional use than that originally allowed and
designated in this section, and upon the discontin-
uance of said particular use, it shall revert to
its residential use, subject to the same regulations
as contained in this ordinance and not to any use
than that of residential, with the exceptions herein
mentioned; (b) a garage or group of garages
containing space for not more than four automobiles;
(c) a temporary commercial building incidental to
the construction ofJa building or the development of
a residential district, a permit for same being
granted by the City Council of the City of
Burlingame for a period not to exceed ninety days.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be published in the
"Burlingame Advance -Star" for the time and in the manner
required by law, and be in full force and effect from and after

the date of its passage.
