AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE SALE OF CERTAIN
PIPES AND PIPE LINES, VALVES, HYDRANTS, FIT-
TINGS AND METERS LOCATED OUTSIDE THE CITY
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF BURLINGA.ME.
The City Council of the City of Burlingame do ordain
as follows:
Section 1: That certain personal property, consisting
of pipes, pipe lines, valves, hydrants, fittings and meters,
all of which are located outside the city limits of the City
of Burlingame, and which are hereinafter particularly described,
are unnecessary to the City of Burlingame and in particular to
the Burlingame Municipal water System, and that it is to the
interest and welfare of the City of Burlingame and the in-
habitants thereof that the same be sold.
Section 2: That the personal property hereinafter
described be sold immediately upon the taking effect of this
ordinance at a price of 012,500.00, which is the reasonable
market value thereof.
Section 3: That said personal property hereby
ordered sold is described as follows:
3,717 lin.ft. more or less of 6 -inch diameter cast iron
pipe extending from the intersection of Parkside Avenue and
Elm Avenue along Parkside Avenue and Ralston Avenue to the
intersection of Ralston and Elm Avenues.
1,868 lin. ft. more or less of 4 inch diameter cast iron
pipe extending from the intersection of North San Raymundo
Road and Hillsborough Boulevard, along Hillsborough Boule-
vard to Parkside Avenue.
799 lin. ft. more or less of 4 -inch diameter cast iron
pipe extending west and north on Sea.bury Road from Hillsborough
Boulevard.
638 lin. ft. more or less of 2 inch diameter wrought iron
pipe on Seabury Road between Hillsborough Boulevard and
Brewer Drive.
311 lin. ft. more or less of 4 -inch diameter cast iron
pipe extending from Brewer Drive to Bromfield Road.
405 lin. ft. more or less of 4 -inch diameter cast iron
pipe extending along North San Raymundo Road from Hillsborough
Boulevard.

600 lin. ft. more or less of 2 inch diameter wrought
iron pipe on Aster Avenue between Parkside Avenue end
Ralston Avenue.
All of said pipe and pipe lines being located within
the city limits of Town of Hillsborough, San Mateo County,
California
Also all valves, hydrants, fittings, service pipes,
meters, meter boxes, akd all other pipes or pipe lines
used in furnishing domesticmater supply to property
located in the Town of Hillsborough, excepting the 12 -inch
cast iron pipe on Barroilhet Avenue, Hillsborough Boulevard
and Bromfield Road and leading t the B rlin ame Reservoir, also
not including pipe or meters on �.

That the purchaser shall pay all expense of severing
from our system and keeping the Burlingame Water Department
free from damage.
Section 4: That the funds realized from the sale
of said personal property be deposited in the general fund of
the City of Burlingame.
Section 5: This ordinance shall be published in the
Burlingame Advance Star in the manner and for the time
required by law, and be in force and effect from and after the
date of its passage.
Introduced the 9th day of January, 1939, and duly
and regularly passed this 16th day of January, 1939, by
the following vote:
