AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIO14S 24, 29, 33, 33A, 37, 49, 54 and 71
OF ORDINANCE NUYBER 178 OF THE CITY OF BURL INGAIM, AND REPEAL-
ING ALL ORDINiNUES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THERMITH.
The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain as
follows:
Section 1. Section 24 of Ordinance No. 178 of the City of Bur-
lingame is hereby amended to read: as follows:
Section 24. Candy and Ice Cream. Any person, firm
or corporation conducting or carrying on a candy and ice
cream store shall pay a license of 812.00 per year.
Section 2. Section 29 of Ordinance No. 178 of the City of Bur-
lingame is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 29. Drug Stores. Any person, firm or corpor-
ation conducting or carrying on a business of selling
drugs and drug sundries shall pay a license of $12.00 per
year.
Section 3. Section 33 of Ordinance No. 178 of the City of Bur-
lingame is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 33. Creamery. Any perdon, firm or corpora-
tion conducting or carrying on a creamery shall pay a
license of 412.00 per year.
Section 4. Section 33A of Ordinance No. 178 of the City of Bur-
lingame is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 33A. Wood and Coal. Any pcxson, firm or cor-
poration conducting or carrying on a wood and coal business
shall pay a license of $12.00 per year.
Section 5. Section 37 of Ordinance Nol 178 of the City of Bur-
lingame is hereby amended to read as £allows:
Section 37. Meat Idarkets. Any pe rsoh, fine or cor-
poration conducting or carrying on a business of selling
meat shall pay a license of X12.00 per year.
Section 6. Section 49 of Ordinance No. 178 of the City of Bur-
lingame is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 49. Cleaning and Dyeing. Any person, firm or
corporation carrying on or conducting a cleaning and dye-
ing business shall pay a license of X10.00 per year. Any
person, firm or corporation who conducts or maintains a
cleaning and dyeing route, or who solicits wearing apparel
for the purpose of cleaning or dyeing it, or, after it has
been cleaned or dyed, delivers it; and who has no fixed
place of business within the City, and who does not main-
tain an office therein, shall pay a license of $8.00 per
annum for each of said routes so conducted or maintained.
Section 7. Section 54 of Ordinance No. 178 of the City of Bur-
lingame is hereby amened to read as follows:
Section 54. Laundries. Any person, firm or corpora-
tion carrying on or conducting a laundry business
shall pay a license of $10.00 per annum. Any person,
firm or corporation who conducts or maintains a laun-
dry route, or who solicits and delivers laundry, and
who has no fixed place of business within the City and
who does not maintain an office therein, shall pay a
license of $8.00 per annum per route.
Section 8. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 9. This ordinance shall be published in the Burlingame
Advance -Star as required by law.
