AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE COMMISSION OF ANY
ACT DECLARED TO BE UNLAWFUL BY ANY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
BURLINGAME, OR FOR THE VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS, OR
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS OF ANY AND
ALL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME, AND REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH.
The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain as follows:
Section 1. Any person, firm or corporation committing any act
declared by any ordinance of the City of Burlingame to be unlawful, or
who violates the provisions, or fails to comply with the mandatory
requirement of any ordinance of the City of Burlingame shall be pun-
ishable by a rine of not to exceed Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) or
by imprisonment in the City Jail for a period of not more than three
months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each such person,
firm or corporation shall be guilty of a separate offense for each
and every day during any portion of which any violation of the pro-
visions of any ordinance of the City of Burlingame is committed,
continued or permitted by such person, firm or corporation, and shall
be punished accordingly.
Section 2. The provisions of Section 1 of this ordinance shall
apply to any person, firm or corporation causing, allowing, permitt-
ing, aiding, abetting or suffering the commission of any act made
unlawful by any ordinance of the City of Burlingame, or the violation
of the provisions or the failure to comply with the mandatory require-
ments of any ordinance of the City of Burlingame.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts or ordinances in conflict
with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be published in the Burlingame
Advance -Star as required by law.
Introduced this 5th day of August, 1940, and adopted August
19, s 1940.
