AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE DISCHARGE OF AIR GUNS AND THE
POSSESSION AND USE OF SLINGSHOTS IN THE CITY OF BUR.LINGAME.
The City Council of the City of Burlingame do Ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. AIR GUMS. It shall be unlawful for any person
to discharge an air gun or instrument of any kind, in the City
of Burlingame, which, by such discharge, projects bullets or
missiles to any distance , by means of elastic force, air, or
any explosive substance.
SECTION 2. SLINGSHOTS. It shall be unlawful for any person
to make, use, or have in his possession any slingshot or other
instrument or device, by which missiles of any kind or discription
are hurled or projected; or in any manner use the same to the
danger or annoyance of any person or injury to any property.
SECTION 3. SHOOTING GALLERY. Nothing in this Ordinance
shall be construed so as to prohibit my person from shooting
in a licensed shooting gallery.
SECTION 4. PENALTY. Every person convicted of any violation
of this Ordinance shall be punished by a fine not exceeding One
Hundred Dollars, or by imprisonment in the County Jail for a
period not exceeding thirty days or by both such fine and imprison-
ment.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be published in the
"Burlingame Advance -Star", in the manner and time provided by
law and shall be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its passage.
Introduced the fifth day of February, 1940, and duly and
regularly passed the 19th day of February, 1940, by the
following vote:
