HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0380ORDINANCE NO. 380 ai Cir -r OP _ Ty — WHEREAS, pursuant to law and the Ordinance of the City of Burlingame, the real property hereinafter described was assessed for taxation by the said City of Burlingame for the year 1923; and, Vr[HEREAS, on June 30, 1924, the Tax Collector of the said City of Burlingame sold said real property to the said City of Burlingame for the non-payment of delinquent taxes which had been legally levied in said year 1923, and were a lien on said real property; and, WHEREAS, the said real property was held by the said City of Burlingame beginning the 30th day of June, 1924, and no redemption having been made, the said Tax Collector of said City of Burlingame, by deed dated July 30, 1928, and recorded in the Office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo, State of California, March 13, 1929, in Volume 397 of Official Records, at page 421, conveyed the said real property to said City of Burlingame, and ever since said time said City of Burlingame has held the title to the said real property; and, WHEREAS, CHARLES GARD and DORA GARD, his wife, have offered to purchase the said real property for the sum of Eleven Hundred Twenty-five Dollars (`1125.00)9 and said sum offered be- ing the fair market value of said property; The City Council of the City of Burlingame does hereby ordain as follows: Section One: That the City of Burlingame sell and con- vey the following real property situate, lying and being in the said City, County of San Mateo, State of California, described as follows: -1- All of Lot No. 5 in Block No. 48, as the same are designated on a map entitled "Lyon and Hoag Subdivision of the .Town of Burlingame", filed in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of San Mateo, State of California' to CHARLES GARD and DORA GARD, his wife, for the sum of Eleven Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($1125.00), lawful money of the United States, and that the Mayor of the City of Burlingame be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute and deliver a conveyance of said real property to the said purchasers for the considera- tion of Eleven Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($1125.00). Section Two: That this Ordinance be published once as required by law and be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption. The foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on November 3, 1941, and was adopted at a regular meeting of said Council held on November 17, 1941, by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen : Buck - Burrows - Coleman - Hunt - McDonald Noes: Councilmen: None Absent: Councilmen ATTEST: CITY CLERK. -2- MAYOR. i1 11, � N ;;OV 13 1941 s,
