OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME BY AMENDING
SECTION 501 OF SAID CODE BY ADDING TIERE-
TO "SUPERINTENDENT OF RECREATION"„

The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain
as follows:
Sec. One. Sec. 501 of the Ordinance Code of the City
of Burlingame is hereby amended to read as follows, to -wit:
Sec. 501. CLASSIFIED SERVICE.
The provisions of this article shall apply to the fol-
lowing departments, appointive officers and employees of the City.
(a) Chief of Police and all members of the police
department on regular duty.
(b) Chief of the Fire Department and all members on
regular duty.
(c) Librarian of City Library and all members of the
library staff on regular duty.
(d) Tax Collector and all members of the tax collecting
staff on regular duty.
(e) Purchasing agent.
(f) Department Head (Assistant Secretary of Water Com-
mission) of Water Department and all employees on regular duty in
water department.

(g) Park Department Head and all employees on regular

(i) City Engineer and all employees of the Engineering
Department on regular duty.
(j) City Recorder or City Police Judge.
(k) City Attorney.
(1) City Janitor.
(m) Building Inspector including his respective duties
as such (plumbing and electric inspector).
(n) Department Head and all employees of the Department
of Public Works.
(o) Superintendent of Recreation, and all employees in
Recreation Department.
Regular duty or service as defined herein shall consist
of regular rionthly routine employment in the City Government as
distinguished from temporary or limited emploT ent.
Sec. Two. This Ordinance shall be published once in the
Burlingame Advance - Star, a newspaper of general circulation,
and shall become effective thirty (30) days after its adoption.
Introduced the 21st day of A-ril, 1941, and adopted the
5th day of Puay, 1941, by the followin- vote:
