AN ORDINANCE CLOSING PORTIONS OF CHANNING
ROAD IN THE CITY OF BURLINGAME.
The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain
as follows:
7,=REAS, The City Council of the City of Burlingame,
on January 6, 1941, adopted a Resolution declaring its inten-
tion to close portions of MANNING ROAD in the City of Burlingame,
and particularly hereinafter described; and,
WHEREAS, the said Resolution of Intention was pub-
lished as required by law in the Burlingame Advance -Star, a
newspaper of general circulation circulated in said City, and
designated by the City Council, for a period of ten days, as
required by law; and
l-AfiEREAS, the Street Superintendent caused to be con-
spicuously posted along the line of Channing Road, at not more
than 300 feet in distance apart, and not less than three (3) in
all, notices of the passage of said Resolution, and said
notice being given as required by law; and,
WHEREAS, no person appeared to make any written ob-
jection to the closing of said Channing Road within ten (10)
days after the expiration of the time of the publication of said
notice;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said City Council of the City of
Burlingame doe's ordain as follows:
Section One: The following portions of Channing Road
within the City, as the same appears and is delineated upon a
certain map entitled "MAP NO. 2 OF BURLINGABLES, COMPRISING
BLOCKS 3, and 13 to 22 INCLUSIVE, AND PORTIONS OF BLOCKS 9 to
11 INCLUSIVE, BURLINGAME, CALIFORNIA", filed September 16, 1935,

in Book No. 20 of Maps, pages 55 and 56, Records of San Mateo
County, California, are hereby closed.
Section Two: The portions of Channing Road in said
City hereinabove ordered closed, are described as follows:
All the easterly portion of Channing Road parallel
and adjacent to the westerly line of Lot 8, Block 22, in
Burlingables Subdivision, as said Lot and Block is shown on
that certain Map entitled "Map No. 2 of Burlingables, compris-
ing Blocks 3, and 13 to 22 inclusive, and portions of Blocks
9 to 11 inclusive, Burlingame, California," filed September
16, 1935, in Book No. 20 of Maps, Pages 55 and 56, Records of
San Mateo County, California, and more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at the most westerly corner of said Lot 80
Block 22, said point being identical to the northwesterly
corner of L$t 9, Block 22; thence N 870 241 27" W 16.42 feet;
thence N. 2 351 33" E. 125.00 feet to the southerly line of the
Bayshore Highway; thence S 870 241 27" E 36.27 feet along the
southerly line of the Bayshore Highway to the point of tan-
gency of a circular curve having a radius of 20.00 feet the
center of which bears S 20 351 33" W from said point of tan-
gency; thence along the arc of said curve in a southwesterly
direction an aro distance of 31.42 feet to the point of tan-
gency thereof with the westerly line of said Lot 8, Block 22;
thence S 20 351 33" Tr 95.10 feet to the point of tangency of
a circular curve having a radius of 320.00 feet the center of
which bears S 870 241 27" E from said point of tangency; thence
along the aro of said curve in a southerly direction an aro
distance of 9.90 feet to the point of beginning.
All the westerly portion of Channing Road parallel
and adjacent to the easterly line of Lot 1, Block 19, in
Burlingables Subdivision, as said Lot and Block is shown on
that certain Map entitled "Map No. 2 of Burlingables, oompris-
ing Blocks 3, and 13 to 22 inclusive, and portions of Blocks
9 to 11 inclusive, Burlingame, California", filed September
169 1935, in Book No. 20 of Maps,oPages 55 and 56, Records of
San Mateo County, California, and more partioularly described
as follows:
Beginning at the southeasterly corner of said Lot 1,
Block 19, .said point being identical to the northeasterly
corner of Lot 44, Block 19; thence N 20 351 33" E 105.00 feet
to the point of tangency of a circular curve having a radius of
20.00 feet, the center of which bears N 870 241 27" pI from said
point of tangency; thence along the are of said curve in a
northwesterly direction an are distance of 31.42 feet to the
point of tangency thereof with the southerly line of the
Bayshore Highway; thence S 870 241 27" E 41.73 feet, along said
southerly line of the Bayshore Highway; thence S 20 351 33" Ld
125000 feet; thence N 870 241 27" 71 21.73 feet to the point of
beginning.
Section Three: This Ordinance shall be published
once in the Burlingame Advance -Star as required by law, and
shall become effective thirty (30) days after its passage.
