AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF ROSE
ROAD IN THE CITY OF BURLINGAME.
The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain
as follows:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Burlingame,
on August 17, 1942, adopted a Resolution declaring its intention
to close a portion of Rose Road in the City of Burlingame, as
particularly hereinafter described; and,
WHEREAS, the said Resolution of Intention was published
as required by law and that the Superintendent of Streets caused
to be conspicuously posted along the line of Rose Road, at not
more than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, and not
less than three (3) in all, notices of the passage of said
Resolution, and said notices being in the form required by law;
and,
WHEREAS, no person appeared to make any written object-
ion to the closing of said portion of Rose Road within the period
provided by law;
NOVI, THEREFORE, said City Council of the City of
Burlingame does ordain:
Section One: The northerly portion of Rose Road in the
City of Burlingame, more particularly hereinafter described, is
hereby abandoned and closed. Said portion of Rose Road is
described as follows:
The northerly portion of Rose Road as shown on that
certain map entitled "Map of Subdivision No. 2, of Burlingame
Shore Land Company, Burlingame, San Mateo County, California"
filed November 1, 1938 in Book 21 of Maps, pages 85 and 86 in
the office of the County Recorder of the said county of San
Mateo, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the southerly line of the
Bayshore Highway, said point being distant thereon 515.094 feet
easterly along the are of a curve having a radius of 3,862.500
feet and a central angle of 70 38, 27" from a 2 inch iron pipe

monument said monument being the northwesterly corner of Sub-
division No. 2, Burlingame Shore Land Company as above described;
thence easterly in a counter clock -wise direction along the
southerly line of the Bayshore Highway along the are of a curve
having a radius of 3,862.500 feet and a central angle of 10 021
10" an arc distance of 69.848 feet; thence southwesterly in a
counter clockwise direction along the are of a curve having a
radius of 10.000 feet and a central angle of 890 281 55/1 an are
distance of 15.620 feet; thence S. 90 571 4011 W 120.595 feet;
thence westerly in a counter clock -wise direction along the are
of a curve having a radius of 35.000 feet and a central angle of
910 101 1011 an are distance of 55.692 feet; thence N 90 571 4011
E 120.595 feet; thence northwesterly in a counter clock -wise
direction along the are of a curve having a radius of 10.000 feet
and a central angle of 890 281 5511 an are distance of 15.620 feet
to the point of beginning and containing 6,207.000 square feet of
land more or less.
Section Two; This ordinance shall be published once in
the Burlingame Advance - Star, a newspaper of general circulation,
as required by law, and shall become effective thirty (30) days
after its adoption.
The foregoing ordinance was introduced on the 28 day
of September, 1942, and adopted on the T day of
19422 by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Burrows, Coleman, Dahl. Hunt& Roth
Noes: Councilmen None
Absent: Councilmen None
