The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain as follows: Section One: The Ordinance Code of the City of Burlin- game is hereby amended by adding two new sections to Article IV to be known as Sections 414 and 412, which shall read as follows: SECTION 414: -- CITY CLERI. -- BOND. Before entering upon his duties, the City Clerk must execute a bond to the City, with sufficient sureties approved by the ,ayor, in the penal sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars (;2,500.00), conditionkofor the faith- ful performance of the duties of his office. Should the bond become insufficient, he shall be required to give additional bond, and, upon his failure to do so, his office must be deemed vacant. SECTION 412: -- CITY CLERK -- COMPENSATION. The City Clerk shall receive One.Hundred Fifty Dollars (150.00) per month as compensation for per- forming the duties of his office, which compensation shall not be increased or diminished during his term of office. Section Two: This Ordinance shall be published once in the Burlingame Advance - Star, a newspaper of general circu- lation published within the city, as required by law, and become effective thirty (30) days after its adoption. The foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Burlingame held on February 16, 1942, and was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Burlingame held on March:2nd T 1142, by the following vote; Ayes; Councilmen : BUCK - COLEMAN - HUNT Noes: Councilmen ; NONE Absent; Councilmen t BURROWS - ROTA ATTEST; 0 4e..=fLOL - CITY CLERY .
