AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 411 and
412 OF THE ORDIiiAIrCE CODE OF THE CITY
OF BURLINGAtEE, FIXING THE PENAL SUPE OF
THE OFFICIAL BOND OF THE CITY CLERK AND
ALSO FI7XING THE COMPENSATION OF THE
CITY CLERK
The City Council 6.f the City of Burlingame does ordain
as follows:
SECTION ONE - The Ordinance Code of the City of Burlingame
lis hereby amended by amending Sections 411 and 412 of the said
code, which said Sections as amended shall read as follows::
SECTION 411: CITY CLERK - BOND.
Before entering upon his duties, the City Clerk must execute
a bond to the City with sufficient sureties approved by the I."ayor,
in the penal sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ( $250a00 ),
conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties of his
office. Should the bond become insufficient he shall be required
to give additional bond and upon his failure to do so, his office
must be deemed vacant.
SECTION 412: CITY CLERK - COTMENSATION.
The City Clerk shall receive Two Hundred Fifty Dollars
( $250.00 ) per month as compensation for performing the duties
of his office, as required by law, which compensation shall not
be increased or decreased during his term of office.
,SECTION T'o0 - This Ordinance shall be published once in the
Burlingame Advance, a newspaper of general circulation published
within the City, as required by law, and become effective thirty
days after its adoption.
The foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Burlingame held on
January 17, 1944, and was adopted at a regular meeting of said
Council, held on February 7, 1944, by the following vote:
