The City Council of the City of Burlingame does hereby
ordain:
Section 1: Section 1910 of the Ordinance Code of the City of
Burlingame is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 1910 - PEMt-ISSABLE USES
Subject to the conditions, limitations, and restrictions
in this article specified, land in the apartment district may be
used for the erection, alteration and maintenance of buildings
permitted in the first and second residential districts of the
City as said districts are herein specified, and it may also be
used for the erection, alteration and maintenance of a single
building which is designed, built, rented, leased, let, or hired
out, to be occupied as a home or residence for three or more
families living independently of each other in said building;
provided, however, that no such building, structure or arrangement
of buildings or structures which may be used as an auto court,
motor court, motor apartments, motel, bungalow apartments, or
similar establishments shall be permitted in any part of the
apartment house district excepting that land in said apartment
district which has its frontage on the -easterly line of the
Bayshore Highway; and, provided further, that no such single
building or structure which is designed, and intended to be built
and used and occupied as the home or residence of three or more
families living independently of each other and doing their own
cooking therein, shall be erected, constructed, altered or
maintained in that portion of the apartment district fronting on
the west side of the Bayshore Highway or fronting upon the

E1 Camino Real, unless end until the plans and specifications
therefor shall have first been submitted to and approved by the
Planning Commission of the City.
Section 2: &11 sections of the Ordinance Code and all Ordinances
of the City in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are
hereby.repealed.
Section 3: This Ordinance shall be published once as required by
law and become effective thirty days after its adoption.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was introduced at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Burlingame
held on October 15, 1945 and was thereafter adopted at a regular
meeting of the said Council held on November 5, 1945 by the
following vote:
