PENALTY FOE VIOUTION OF ANY PROVISION
OF SAID CODE
The City Council of the Uity of Burlingame does ordain:
Sec. 1. Sec. 101 of the Ordinance Code of the City of
Burlingame is hereby amended by fixing the maximum penalty
for the violation of any of the provisions of said Code by
fixing a fine not to exceed FIVE HUNDRED (4500.00) DOLLARS
or by imprisonment in the City Jail of not more than six
(o) months, so that as amended said Section 101 shall read
as follows:
SEC. 101 PUNISHiV EIdT .
Any person, firm or corporation, committing any act
declared by any provision of this Code to be unlawful, or
who violates the provisions, or fails to comply with the
mandatory requirements, of any section or portion of this
Code, shall be punishable by a fine of not to exeeed rive
Hundred Dollars (#500.00) or by imprisonment in the Uity Jail
for a period of not more than six months, or by both such fine
and imprisonment. Each such person, firm or corpor at ion shall
be guilty of a separate'offense for each and every day during
any portion of which any violation of the provisions of this
Code, or any section or part thereof, is committed, continued
or permitted by such person, firm or corporation, and shall be
punished accordingly.
Sec. 2. This Ordinance shall be published once in a news-
paper of general circulation published in the City and
become effective thirty days after adoption.

The foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council held on the 17th day of September,
1945, and adopted at a regular meeting of said Council held on
the 1st day of October, 1945, by the following vote:
