HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0436ORDINANCE NO. 436 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 822 OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME, AND ADOPTING A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS SECTION 822, PROVIDING FOR EMPLOYEESI COMPENSATION TO THE PROMOTED POSITION IN THE CLASSIFIED SERVICE. The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Section 822 of the Ordinance Code of the City of Burlingame is hereby repealed, and a new section to be known as Section 822, is hereby adopted, which shall read as follows: SECTION 822: Any employee in the classified service promoted from one position to one of a higher class, and at the time of such promotion is receiving compensation equal to or greater than the minimum compensation provided for such higher classified service, shall be entitled to receive such compensation in the higher classification next above the rate of compensation he or she had theretofore received, and such increase shall be effeotive upon the date of promotion. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be published once, according to law. Mayor I, Herbert K.
