HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0433ORlIIdANCE NO. 433 AN ORDINANCE L,214DING SECTION 1204 OF t ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME BY AUUIORIZING THE CITY COUNCIL, BY RESOLUTION, TO REGULATE AND DESIGNATE AREAS AND PLACES FOR STOPPING# STANDING, AND PARKING OF VEHICLES The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain as follows: Section 1 - Section 1204 of tin Ordinance Code of the City of Burlingame is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 1204 - SIGNS The City Council shall, by Resolution, determine and designate the character of all official warning and directing signs and sign al s, and by resolution may at any time regulate and designate ph. ces and areas for stopping, standing, and plac- ing of vehicles and provide therein for such regulation as the conditions or occasions may require and as may be deemed neces- sary, and the Chief of Police is hereby authorized and it shall be his duty to place and maintain all official warning and directing signs and signals and regulate and designate places and areas for stopping, standing, and parking of vehicles as may be authorized by the resolution of the City Council. All signs authorized and required hereunder for a particular purpose shall be uniform. No provision of this article for which signs are required shall be enforceable against the alleged violator if at the time and place of the alle ged violation the sign herein required is not in proper position and sufficiently legible to be seen by an ordinarily observant person. Section 2 - This Ordinance shall be nubli shed once as required by law and become effective thirty (30) days after its adoption. L. Herbert Harris, Mayor I, Herbert L.
