HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0449ORDINANCE NO. 449 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 435 WHICH ORDINANCE REPEALED SECTION 825 OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME AND ADOPT- ING A NEW SECTION 825 OF SAID ORDIN- ANCE CODE, FIXING AND ESTABLISHING THE CLASSIFICATION OF POSITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT AND THE COMPENSATION AND SALARIES THEREFOR The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain as follows: Section 1 - Section 825 of the Ordinance Code of the City of Burlingame, as established by Ordinance No. 435 on September 239 1946, is hereby repealed. Section 2 - There is hereby established a new Section 825 of the Ordinance Code of the City of Burlingame fixing and establish- ing the salaries, compensation and rate of pay for employees of the city regularly occupying Civil Service positions allocated to them as of July 1, 1947, according to their seniority; and for all employees entering the service at the entrance rate fixed in the schedule hereinafter set forth for the classifica- tion for which such employee is appointed. Section 5 - The rate of pay herein established shall be retroactive and effective as of July 1, 1947, and the City Clerk and the City Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to pay all city employees regularly employed on July 11 1947, such additional amount of compensation as such employee would have received had this ordinance been effective as of the last men- tioned date. Section 6 - This Ordinance shall be published once as re- quired by law. U. S. Simonds, Jr. - May I, Herbert K.
