HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0486ORDINANCE NO. 486 AN ORDINANCE ABIENDING THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF BURLINGA147E BY A1IENDING SECTION 1033 THEREOF, PROVIDING NUR LICENSING VEHICLES DRIVEN AND OPERATED IN THE PURSUIT OF BUSINESS OR OCCUPATION AND NIXING THE RATES THEREOF The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain as follows: Section 1 - Section 1033 of the Ordinance Code of the City of Burlingame is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 1033 Every person who drives or operates a vehicle on the streets of the City in the pursuit or course of his occupation or business, and every person not otherwise licensed under this ordinance engaged in the business of selling or delivering goods, wares and merchandise at wholesale or retail by means of motor vehicles, in addition to any other license tax imposed, shall pay an annual license tax based upon the number and carrying capacity of vehicles used in the conduct or operation of such business or occupation as follows: (a) For each vehicle having a carrying capacity of two tons or more, the annual license tax shall be sixteen 016.00) dollars. (b) For each vehicle having a carrying capacity of one ton and not over two tons, the annual license tax shall be eight ($8.00) dollars. (c) For each vehicle having a carrying capacity of less than on ton the annual license tax shall be six ($6.00) dollars. Section 2 - This Ordinance shall be published as required by law and become effective thirty (30) days after its adoption. Dan R. Love, Jr. - Nayor I1, Herbert K.
