AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1222 OF THE
ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
BY ADDING THERETO REGULATION FOR PARKING
VEHICLES ON ANY PROPERTY OWNED OR POSSESSED
BY THE CITY; PROVIDING MR THE 1124EDIATE
EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE ORDINANCE
The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain:
Section 1 - Section 1222 of the Ordinance Code of the City
is hereby amended by adding thereto the following:
"All other property owned, or the possession of which is
acquired and used by the City for parking purposes".
Section 2 - This ordinance shall be published once as re-
quired by law.
Section 3 - It is deemed necessary for the immediate public
peace, health and safety that this ordinance shall go into
Ii immediate effect. The facts constituting the urgency are as
follows:
That the health and safety of our citizens are endangered
because of the excessive amount of vehicular traffic on the
public streets, and it is almost impossible to accommodate or
regulate parking of automobiles with the existing facilities; it
becoming necessary for the City to immediately acquire the use
of private property to provide parking in the commercial districts
of the City and the regulation of parking on such private property
is immediately necessary.

I, Herbert K. White, City Clerk, do hereby certify that
the foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council held on the 19th day of December, 1949s, and
adopted thereafter on the 3rd day of January, 1950, by the
following vote:
