APPROVING AND ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF
BURLINGAME CERTAIN PROPERTY KNOWN AS
THE "FEMA PROPERTY"
The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain:
WHEREAS, Joseph J. Pena and Frances Z. Pena, his rife,
the owners of the property hereinafter described filed with the
City Clerk of the City of Burlingame, a petition requesting the
annexation to the City of certain territory contiguous to the
corporate limits of the City of Burlingame and requesting that
the property be annexed to the City, and agreeing that upon the
annexation thereof, the said property shall be apportionately
subject to all of the existing bonded indebtedness of the City,
outstanding at the date of said annexation and in the indebtedness
authorized and represented by the bonds now issued, and to enjoy
all of the privileges and benefits of said City; and
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of July, 1951, the City Council of
the City of Burlingame adopted Resolution No. 35-519 fixing
August 209 1951, at eight o'clock, p.m. in the Council Chambers
of the City Hall of said City, as the time and place when and
where any person interested in the proposed annexation may appear
and show cause, if any they have, why such property should not be
annexed; and
WHEREAS, the order fixing the time and place of hearing and
directing notice to be given as required by law, was published
in the Burlingame Advance, a newspaper of general circulation
on the 21st day of July and on the 28th day of July; and
WHEREAS, on August 20, 1951, at the regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Burlingame and at the time and place
fixed in the aforesaid notice, no person interested or at all
objected to said annexation, the City Council having jurisdiction
to order the same;
IT IS HEREBY FOUND, ORDAINED AND ORDERED
1. That the hereinafter described property is contiguous
the corporate limits of the City and is hereby annexed and sha
be a part of the City of Burlingame, a municipal corpora-
, and when so annexed shall enjoy all of the privileges and
fits now existing at said date of annexation and apportion -
y be subject to a 11 of the existing bonded indebtedness of
City outstanding at the date hereof and in the indebtedness
prized and represented by bonds now issued.
2. That the exterior boundaries of said area hereby
xed are all within the County of San Mateo, State of
and described as follows:
COMMENCING at a point at the intersection of the
southwesterly line of Alvarado Avenue and the line
between Lots 1 and 2. Block 1, of the Map of
Burlingame Hills Subdivision No. 22 San Mateo
County, California, recorded on Page 18 of Volume
14, on the 23rd day of August, 19263 San Mateo
County Records; thence proceeding from said point
along the said southwesterly line of Alvarado
Avenue, bearing South 550 041 East, a distance of
121.841 to the point of beginning, oontinuAng South
550 041 East, on and along said southwesterly line
of Alvargdo Avenue, a distance of 82.501; thence
South 34 56+ 00" West, a distance of 150.311;
thence North 650 091 50" West, a distance of
83.801; thence North 340 561 00" East, a distance
of 165.001; to the point of beginning.
3. That the annexation of said property be, and the same
s hereby approved; that the City Clerk submit under the seal
the City and submit to the Secretary of State of the State of
, a certified copy of this Ordinance, giving the date
its passage and from and after the filing of said document in
office of the Secretary of State, the annexation of the
described territory shall be complete and thenceforth shall
according to all intents and purposes a part of the City of

do hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance was introduced at
a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 20th day of
August, 1951, and adopted thereafter at a regular meeting held
on the 4th day of September, 19519 by the following vote:
