APPROVING AND ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF
BURLINGAME CERTAIN PROPERTY KNOWN AS THE
"DRIGGS PROPERTY"
The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain:
WHEREAS, Richard J. Driggs and Eileen E. Driggs, his wife,
the owners of the property hereinafter described filed with the
City Clerk of the City of Burlingame, a petition requesting the
annexation to the City of certain territory contiguous to the
corporate lints of the City of Burlingame and requesting that the
property be annexed to the City, and agreeing that upon the
annexation thereof, the said property shall be apportionately
subject to all of the existing bonded indebtedness of the City,
outstanding at the date of said annexation and in the indebtedness
authorized and represented by the bonds now issued, and to enjoy
all of the privileges and benefits of said City; and
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of July, 1951, the City Council of
the City of Burlingame adopted Resolution No. 35-51, fixing
August 20, 1951, at eight o'clock p.m. in the Council Chambers of
the City Hall of said City, as the time and place when and where
any person interested in the proposed annexation may appear and
show cause, if any they have, why such property should not be
annexed; and
WHEREAS, the order fixing the time and place of hearing and
directing notice to be given as required by law, was published
in the Burlingame Advance, a newspaper of general circulation
on the 21st day of July and on the 28th day of July; and
WHEREAS, on August 20, 1951, at the regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Burlingame and at the time and place
fixed in the aforesaid notice, no person interested or at all
objected to said annexation, the City Council having jurisdiction
to order the same;
IT IS HEREBY FOUND, ORDAINED AND ORDERED
1. That the hereinafter described property is contiguous to
the corporate limits of tha'City and is hereby annexed and shall
hereafter be a part of the City of Burlingame, a municipal corpo:
ation, and when so annexed shall enjoy all of the privileges and
benefits now existing at said date of annexation and apportion-
ately be subject to all of the existing bonded indebtedness of
the City outstanding at the date hereof and in the indebtedness
authorized and represented by bonds now issued.
2. That the exterior boundaries of said area hereby
annexed are all within the County of San Mateo, State of
California and described as follows:
COMMENCING at a point at the intersection of
the southwesterly line of Alvarado Avenue and
the line between Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, of the
Map of Burlingame Hills Subdivision No. 2, San
Mateo County, California, recorded on Page 18
of Volume 140 on the 23rd day of August, 1926,
San Mateo County Records; thence proceeding
from said point along the said southwesterly
line of Alvarado Avenue, bearing South 55 041
East, a distance of 63.98 feet to the point of
beginning; continuing South 550 041 East on and
along said southwesterly line of Alvarado Avenue,
a distance of 57.88►; thence South 340 561 Og"
West., a distance of 165.001; thence South 86
371 30" west, a distance of 68.391; thence North
400 041 west, a distance of 4.371; thence North
340 561 00" East, a distance of 206.261 to the
point of beginning.
3. That the annexation of said property be, and the same
is hereby approved; that the City Clerk submit under the seal
of the City and submit to the Secretary of State of the State of
California, a certified copy of this Ordinance, giving the date
of its passage and from and after the filing of said document
in the office of the Secretary of State, the annexation of the
above described territory shall be complete and thenceforth
shall be according to all intents and purposes a part of the
City of Burlingame.
4. This Ordinance shall be published once according to
law.

I, HERBERT K. WHITE, City Clerk of the City of Burlingame,
do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was introduced
at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 20th day
of August, 19519 and thereafter adopted at a regular meeting of
the City Council held on the 4th day of September, 1951, by the
following vote:
