APPROVING AND ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF
BURLINGAME CERTAIN UNINHABITED, UNIN-
CORPORATED TERRITORY KNOWN AS "EASTON
OAKS"
The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain as
follows:
WHEREAS, the owners of the property hereinafter described
filed with the City Clerk of the City of Burlingame, a petition
setting forth the boundaries of the unincorporated, iuii.nhabited
territory contiguous to the corporate limits of the City of
Burlingame and requesting that the property be annexed to the
City, and agreeing that upon the annexation thereof, the said
property shall be apportionately subject to all of the existing
bonded indebt6dness of the City, outstanding at the date of
said annexation and in the indebtedness authorized and
represent8d_by bonds now issued, and to enjoy all of the
privileges and benefits of said City; and
WHEREAS, on the 12th day of May, 1951, the City Council of
the City of Burlingame adopted a resolution, No. 23-51, fixing
June 4, 1951, at eight o'clock, p.m., in the Council Chamber of
the City Hall of said City, as the time and place when and where
any person interested in the proposed annexation may appear and
show cause, if any they have, why such territory should not be
annexed; and
WHEREAS, the order fixing the time and place of hearing and
directing notice to be given as required by law was published in
the Burlingame Advance, a newspaper of general circulation on
May 21, 1951 and on May 28, 1951; and
WHEREAS, on June 4, 1951, at the regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Burlingame and at the time and place
fixed in the foresaid notice, no person interested or at all
objected to said annexation, and the City Council having juris-
diction to order the same;
IT IS HEREBY FOUND, ORDAINED AND ORDERED
1. That the hereinafter described real property is unincorpora-
ted, uninhabited territory contiguous to the corporate limits of
the City of Burlingame.
2. That the said property hereinafter described is hereby
annexed and shall hereafter be a part of the City of Burlingame,
a municipal corporation, and when so annexed, shall enjoy all
of the privileges and benefits now existing at the date of said
annexation.
3. That the said exterior boundaries of said area hereby
annexed are all within the County of Sala Mateo, State of Calif-
ornia, and described as follows:
Lots numbered 1, 2, 41 5, 6, 7 and 8 in Block numbered
3, as shown on that certain map entitled "Burlingame
Hills, San Mateo. Co,, Calif.", filed in the office
of the County Recorder of San Mateo County on July 7,
1913, in Book 9 of Maps at Page 2.
TOGETHER WITH that certain strip of land heretofore
used as a lane or path, about 10 feet in width, and
lying in Block 3, said strip of land being bounded on
the east by Lots 4 and 8 and on the West by Lots 5 and
7 of said Block 3.
EXCEPTING, HOWEVER, from said Lot 2 that portion thereof
which is described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the southerly side of Hillside
Circle as shown on said Map, at the Northeasterly corner
of Lot 3; thence southerly along the easterly boundary of
Lot 3 and of Lot 9, south 50 591 58' 113.24 feet to a
point on the northerly side of Easton Drive, as shown
upon the above mentioned map of Burlingame Hills; thence
easterly along the northerly side of Easton Drive on a
curve with radius of 89.00 feet for a distance of 75.13
feet; thence leaving said Easton Drive North 50 551 10"
East 80.38 feet to a point; thence North 170 30' West
42.37 feet to a point on the southerly side of above
mentioned Hillside Circle; thence Westerly on a curve
with radius of 220.00 feet through an are of 210 29,
09" for a distance of 82.50 feet to the place of be-
ginning.
4. That the annexation of s aid t erritory be, a nd the same
is hereby approved; that the City Clerk submit under the seal
of the City and transmit to the Secretary of State of the State
of California, a certified copy of this Ordinance, giving the
date of its passage, that from and after the filing of said
documents in the Office of the Secretary of State, the annexation
of the territory above described shall be complete and thencefort
shall be according to all intents and purposes a part of the City
of Burlingame, a municipal corporation.
5. This Ordinance shall be published once according to law.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was introduced
at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 4th day of
June, 1951, and adopted thereafter at a regular meeting held
on the 18th day of June, 1951, by the following vote:
