AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAIIE BY ADDING THERETO A NEW SECTION 805.1; FIXING HOURS OF EMPLOYTENT OF PERSONNEL IN THE POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS. The City Council does ordain as follows: Section 1 - The Ordinance Code of the City of Burlingame Ls hereby amended by adding thereto a new Section 805.1, which ;hall read as follows: SECTION 805.1 - HOURS OF EMPLOMIENT IN POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS (a) All persons employed by the City of Burlingame in full ;ime positions in the Police Department shall work forty (40) hours )er week. (b) All persons employed by the City of Burlingame in full ime positions in the Fire Department shall work sixty (60) hours er week. The Chief of Police and the Chief of the Fire Department are ereby authorized to arrange an effective schedule of working hours or the employees in their respective departments to comply with he foregoing. Notwithstanding anything herein contained, the personnel of he Police and Fire Departments shall be subject to call and must espond on any occasion when the chief of the department may deem t necessary for the protection of life, property or the safety of ae citizens of Burlingame.
