AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLE 51 OF PART X OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME AND ADOPTING A NEW ARTICLE 51 OF PART X OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME PROVI- DING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF FIRE ZONES WITHIN THE CITY; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; AND RECITING THE EMERGENCY REQUIRING THIS ORDINANCE TO BE EFFECTIVE UPON ITS PASSAGE. The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain as follows: SECTION I - Article 51 of Part X of the Ordinance Code of the City of Burlingame is hereby repealed. SECTION 2 - A new Article 51 of Part X of the Ordinance Code of the City of Burlingame is hereby adopted reading as follows: ARTICLE 51 FIRE ZONES SECTION 1999 A - The City shall be divided into three fire zones or districts, the descriptions and delimitations of which shall be as set forth in the following three sections and as shown on the map hereto attached, entitled "Fire Zone, City of Burlingame, San Mateo County, California, Revision of October, 1954", which map is hereby incorporated in and made a part of this ordinance. SECTION 1999.1 - FIRE ZONE NUMBER I - Fire Zone Number I shall embrace and be coextensive with all of that part or portion of the City shown upon said map and marked "FIRE ZONE I". SECTION 1999.2 - FIRE ZONE NUMBER II - Fire Zone Number II shall embrace and be coextensive with all of that part or portion of the City shown upon said map and marked "FIRE ZONE II". SECTION 1999.3 - FIRE ZONE NUMBER III - Fire Zone Number III shall embrace and include all of the territory within the city limits save and except that which is included in Fire Zones I and II as described and delimited in Sections 1999.1 and 1999.2. -.1�- ORDINANCE N0, __6 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLE 51 OF PART X OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME AND ADOPTING A NEW ARTICLE 51 OF PART X OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME PROVI- DING FOR THE ESTABLISH14ENT OF FIRE ZONES WITHIN THE CITY; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; AND RECITING THE EMERGENCY REQUIRING THIS ORDINANCE TO BE EFFECTIVE UPON ITS PASSAGE. SECTION . - If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held in- valid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision, and such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. SECTION 5. - This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary to protect the public safety, health and welfare, and shall take effect immediately. The following is a statement of the facts showing its urgency: Pursuant to the provisions of that certain agreement between the City of Millbrae, a municipal corporation, the Atlantic Life Insurance Company, a Virginia corporation, and the City of Burlingame, a municipal corporation, dated the 30th day of November, 1953, a substantial portion of the territory shown on the attached map has been annexed to the City of Burlingame. Certain areas of the said annexed territory known as Mills Estate No. 1, Mills Estate No. 3, and. Millsdale Industrial Park, Unit Number 1, have been subdivid- ed and their respective final maps have been accepted by this Council and recorded. No provision has heretofore been made for the zoning of said annexed territory, including the subdivisions designated, into appropriate fire zones or districts; and it is fitting, proper and necessary that said annexed territory be zoned immediately for fire district purposes and that the fire zoning heretofore ordained by this Council for the remaining territory within the City be revised and modified in order that NA the fire zoning plan shown on the attached map may constitute a unified and integrated plan for the entire City as its limits now exist. 2 - SECTION 6. - This ordinance shall be published as required by law. 0t:: 1, H.
