HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0550ORDINANCE NO. 550 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF VALDIVIA WAY, A PUBLIC STREET WHICH PORTION LIES GENERALLY BETWEEN LOTS 26 AND 29, BLOCK 17, AND LOT 65, BLOCK 19, OF RAY PARK SUBDIVISION, BURLINGAME, CALIFORNIA The City Council of the City of Burlingame, California, does ordain as follows: Section 1 - That the public interest and convenience require and that it is the intention of the said Council to vacate that portion of Valdivia Way, a public street in the City of Burlingame, hereinafter more particularly described. Section 2 ♦ That the portion of the public street which said Council intends to vacate is described as follows: All that certain real property situate in the City of Burlingame, County of San Mateo, State of California, more particularly described as follows: "BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the westerly line of Valdivia Way with the southerly boundary of Ray Park as said way and Boundary are shown on that certalh map entitled "RAY PARK", as recorded April 16, 1951 in Volume 23 of Maps at pages 45 o 4 , t 8 inclusive in the office of the a Recorder of the County of San Mateo, State of California; thence from said POINT OF BEGINNING along said w esterly line of Valdivia Way N 40 43' 50" E 183.37 feet; thence leaving said n westerly line of Valdivia ay southerly on the are of a curve to the left, tangent to the pre- ceding course, with a radius of 60.00 feet, a central angle of 850 49' 20", an are distance of 89.87 feet to a point of tangency with the westerly production of the southerly line of Hayward Drive, as said Drive is shown on said map of Ray Park; thence along said westerly production of the southerly line of Hayward Drive S 810 05' 30" E 5.12 feet to a point on the northerly line of Lot 65, Block 19, as said lot and block are shown on said map of Ray Park; thence along the westerly line of said Lot 65, tangent to preceding course westerly on the are of a curve to the left, having a radius of 10 feet and a central angle of 940 10' 40", an are distance of 16.44 feet; thence continuing along said westerly line of Lot 65, tangent to precedingeourse S 4043° 50" W 108.46 feet tothe hereinabove mentioned southerly boundary of Ray Park;thence along said southerly boundary S 700 461 W 27.62 feet and N 700 351 W 25.61 feet returning to said POINT OF BEGINNING." Section 3 - For a further particular description of that portion of said public street which aid Council intends to vacate, reference is hereby made to that certain map or plan on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Burlingame, entitled "Map of Portion of Valdivia Way to be Abandoned Ray Park, Burlingame, California." Section 4 - That the said Council hereby elects to proceed under Sections 8320 through 8324 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. Section - Notice is hereby given that Monday, the 17th day of May, 115$=i at 8:00 o1cl6ek, p.m., at the Council Chambers of the City Council in the City Hall in the City of Burlingame, is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in the proposed vacation of said portion of said public street. Section 6 - The Clerk of said City shall cause this Ordinance to be published once in the Burlingame Advance, a daily newspaper published and circulated in said City, whichs aid newspaper is hereby designated for that purpose. Section 7 - At least ten (10) days before the date s et for hearing, the Superintendent of Streets of s aid City shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the lines of that portion of said public street proposed to becvaeated at least three (3) notices of street vacation, not more than three hundred (300) feet apart, stating the time and place of hearing and the passage of this Ordinance. Mayor I. Herbert K. White, City Clerk, do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 5th day of April, 1954, and adopted at a regular meeting held on the 19th day of April, 1954, by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN; Atwater -Byrd -Love -Morgan -Simonds NOES: COUNCILMEN: None ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None 7 UL Herbert K.
