AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 825 OF
TH, ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF BUR-
LINGAME AND ADOPTING A NEW SECTION 825
OF SAID ORDINANCE CODE, FIXING AND ESTAB-
LISHING THE CLASSIFICATION OF POSITIONS
AND EMPLOYMENT AND THE COMPENSATION AND
SALARIES THEREFOR.
The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. Section 825 of the Ordinance Code of the City of
Burlingame, as established August 2, 1954, by Ordinance No. 557,
is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. There is hereby established a new Section 825 of
the Ordinance Code of the City of Burlingame, fixing and establish
ing the classificatior4 salaries, compensation and rates of pay
for employees of the City regularly occupying civil service posit-
ions allocated to them as of July 1, 1955; and any employee sub-
sequently entering the classified service shall receive the en-
trance rate fixed in the schedule hereinafter set forth for the
classification for which such employee is appointed.
SECTION 3. The classification schedule and the compensation
for the positions therein set forth are hereby fixed and establis
ed as follows:

SECTION 4. The Matron -Stenographer shall be compensated for
call to duty outside of regular hours at the following rate:
the first hour, Two Dollars and Fifty Cents and One Dollar and
ty Cents for each succeeding hour or major portion thereof.
SECTION 5. The Police Officer assigned to the extra duty of
rating a motorcycle shall receive extra compensation of Fifteen
lars per month.

SECTION 6. The Police Officer assigned to extra duty as
Director of Traffic shall receive extra compensation of Twenty
Five Dollars per month.
SECTION 7. The Police Officer assigned to extra duty as
Inspector of Police shall receive extra compensation at the rate
of Twenty Five Dollars per month.
SECTION 8, The Hoseman assigned to extra duty as Inspector
of the Fire Department shall receive extra compensation at the
rate of Twenty &ive Dollars per month.
SECTION 9. The person designated to make a stenographic
record of proceedings of the Council meetings shall receive such
compensation as the City Council may from time to time provide by
resolution.
SECTION 10. The rates of pay set forth in the foregoing
schedule represent the standard monthly rate of compensation in
terms of dollars per month based upon full time employment.
SECTION 11. This Ordinance shall be published as required
by law.

foregoing ordinance was introduced at a regularly adjourned Coun-
cil meeting held on the 28th day of June, 1955, and adopted at a
regular meeting of the City Council held on the 5th day of July,
