ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING
INTENTION TO VACATE PORTIONS OF CERTAIN PUBLIC STREETS
WITHIN THE CITY OF BURLINGAME, TO -WIT: A PORTION OF TOLEDO
AVENUE AND A PORTION OF GALVEZ COURT; REFERRING TO A MAP
OR PLAN ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK FOR
PARTICULARS AS TO THE PROPOSED VACATION; AND FIXING THE
TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN OR
OBJECTING TO THE PROPOSED VACATION
The City Council of the City of Burlingame, California,
does ordain as follows:
Section 1. That the public interest and convenience
require and that it is the intention of the said Council to
vacate those portions of the following described public streets
within the City of Burlingame, to -wit:
DESCRIPTION OF STREETS TO BE VACATED
A portion of Toledo Avenue, and a portion of Galvez Court,
situate in the City of Burlingame, County of San Mateo,
State of California, dedicated for public use by the
filing of that certain map entitled "MILLS ESTATE NO. 5
BURLINGAME SAN MATEO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA", on August 5,
1955 in Volume 43 of Maps at pages 13 and 14 of Official
Records of San Mateo County, California, and more partic-
ularly described as follows:
Parcel A (Portion of Toledo Avenue)
BEGINNING at the northwesterly terminus of a curve forming
the intersection of the easterly line of Toledo Avenue and
the northwesterly line of Trousdale Drive as said Avenue
and Drive are shown upon the above described map; thence
from said Point of Beginning northerly along the easterly
line of said Toledo Avenue tangent to the above described
curve on the are of a curve to the right with a radius of
203.00 feet and a central angle of 46012116t1 an arc length
of 170.79 feet; thence N 22o301 E 100.00 feet; thence on
the are of a curve to the left with a radius of 227.00 feet
and a central angle of 4051126" an are length of 19.24 feet;
thence leaving said easterly line S 31034115" W 48.78 feet;
thence N 840151011/ W 47.51 feet to the westerly line of said
Toledo Avenue; thence southerly along said westerly line
S 220301 W 57.36 feet; thence on the are of a curve to the
left with a radius of 257.00 feet and a central angle of
51036114" an are length of 231.47 feet to a point of reverse
curvature; thence tangent to the preceding curve on the are of
a curve to the right with a radius of 20.00 feet and a central
angle of 83026114" an are length of 29.13 feet to a point of
cusp on the northwesterly line of Trousdale Drive as shown on
the above described map; thence tangent to the preceding curve
N 540204 E 94,95 feet to a point of cusp; thence southwester
and tangent to the preceding corm se on the are of a curve to
the right with a radius of 20:00 feet and a central angle of
99057444" an are length of 34.89 feet to the Point of
Beginning.
Parcel B (Portion of Toledo Avenue and Portion of Galvez Court)
BEGINNING at the northeasterly terminus of a curve forming
the intersection of the northwesterly line of Galvez Court
and the northeasterly line of Toledo Avenue as said Court
and Avenue are shown upon the above described map; thence frog
said Point of Beginning, northeasterly along said northwester]
line of Galvez Court N 640E 39.77 feet; thence tangent to the
preceding course on the are of a curve to the left with a
radius of 100.00 feet and a central angle of 26034422" an are
length of 46.38 feet to a point of reverse curvature; thence
tangent to the preceding curve on the are of a curve to the
right having a radius of 42.00 feet and a central angle of
23300844411 an arc length of 170.90 feet to a point of reverse
curvature; thence tangent to the preceding curve on the are of
a curve to the left with a radius of 100.00 feet and a centra]
angle of 2603442211 an are length of 46.38 feet; thence S 640
W 37.27 feet; thence leaving the southeasterly line of said
Galvez Court N 611 W 87.91 feet; thence N 290 E 31.02 feet;
thence from a tangent which bears S 36039413" E on the arc
of a curve to the right with a radius of 227.00 feet and a
central angle of 4034422T1 an arc length of 18.12 feet to a
point of reverse curvature; thence tangent to the preceding
curve on the are of a curve to the left with a radius of
20.00 feet and a central angle of 83056tO9" an are length of
29.30 feet to the Point of Beginning.
Section 2. For a particular description of those
portions of said public street which said Counbil intends to
vacate, reference is hereby made to that certain map or plan on
file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Burlingame
entitled "Map of Street and Public Service Easements to be
Vacated Mills Estate No. 5 Burlingame San Mateo County, Californik
Section 3. That the said Council hereby elects to
proceed under Sections 8320 through 8324 of the Streets and
Highway Code of the State of California.
Section 4. Notice is hereby given that Monday, the
1st day of October, 1956, at 6:00 otclook p.m., at the Council
Chambers of the City Council in the City Hall in the City of
Burlingame is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all
persons interested in the proposed vacation of said portions of
said public streets.

Section 5. The Clerk of said City shall cause this
Ordinance to be published once in the Burlingame Advance, a
daily newspaper published and circulated in said City, which
said newspaper is hereby designated for that purpose.
Section 6. At least 10 days before the date set for
hearing, the Superintendent of Streets of said City shall cause
to be conspicuously posted along the lines of those portions of
said public streets proposed to be vacated at least three (3)
notices of vacation, not more than 300 feet apart, stating the
time and place of hearing and the passage of this Ordinance,

I, Herbert K. White, City Clerk, do hereby certify
that the foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council held on the 20thday of August , 1956
and adopted thereafter at a regular meeting of the City Council
held on the 4th day of September , 1956s by the following
vote:
