AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
CONTRACT PROVIDING FOR THE PARTIC-
IPATION OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
IN THE CALIFORNIA STATE EMPLOYEES1
RETIREMENT SYSTEM, MAKING ITS EMPLOYEES
MEMBERS OF SAID SYSTEM.
The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain
as follows:
SECTION..l. That an amendment to the Contract providing
for the participation of City of Burlingame in the State Employees'
Retirement System, is hereby authorized between the City Council
of City of Burlingame and the Board of Administration, California
State Employees} Retirement System, a copy of said amendment
being attached hereto, marked "Exhibit A", and by such reference
made a part hereof as though herein set out in full.
SECTION 2, The Mayor of the City of Burlingame is
hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to execute said amend-
ment for and on behalf of said Agency.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
after the date of its adoption, and prior to the expiration of
fifteen days from the passage thereof shall be published at least
once in the Advance -Star, a newspaper of general circulation, pub-
lished and circulated in the City of Burlingame, and thenceforth
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

foregoing ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the
City Council held on the 4th day of June, 1956, and adopted there-
after at the regular meeting, June 18, 1956, by the following vote
