HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0690ORDINANCE NO. 690 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1854 OF THE BURLINGAME ORDINANCE CODE BY ADDING THERETO SUB -PARAGRAPH i. REGULATING THE PLACING OR POSTING OF DIRECTIONAL SIGNS IN PUBLIC STREETS AND WAYS follows: The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain as SECTION 1. Section 1854 of the Ordinance Code of the Ci of Burlingame is hereby amended by adding sub -paragraph i. thereto which shall read and provide as follows: by law. "i. Signs upon the public way for the purpose of direction to public places. Such signs and their location may be approved by the City Council after referral to the City Manager for his recom- mendations regarding matters of safety, construction, and interference with pedestrian or street traffic. No such sign shall exceed eighteen inches (181f) by twenty-four inches (2411) in size." SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published as required CHARLOTTE J,OF)NS15N - Mayor I, Herbert K. White, City Clerk, do hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 20th day of April , 1959, and adopted thereafter at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 4th day of May , 1959, by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen: Byrd - Johnson - Morgan - Rooth - Noes: Councilmen: None Absent Councilmen: None Herbert K.
