AN ORDINANCE QJENDING THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF
BURLINGAHE BY ADDING THERETO A NEW SECTION NUMBERED
1221-D INCREASIFTG THE PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIT4IT FOR
VEHICULAR TRAFFIC ON TROUSDALE DRIVE BETWEEN EL CAMINO
REAL AND SSEBASTIAN DRIVE FRO11 25 N=ES PER HOUR TO 35
MILES PER HOUR
The City Council of the City of Burlingame determines and
finds upon the basis of an engineering and traffic survey that a
speed greater than 25 miles per hour, to wit: 35 miles per hour,
will facilitate the orderly movement of vehicular traffic on
Trousdale Drive, a public street other than a state highway, be-
tween El Camino Real and Sebastian Drive, and that a prima facie
speed limit of 35 miles per hour on said public street is reasonabl
and safe.
Said City Council therefore ordains as follows:
SECTION I. The Ordinance Code of the City of Burlingame is
ereby amended by adding thereto a new Section 1221-D which shall
ad and provide as follows:
"Section 1221-D. The prima facie speed limit for
vehicular traffic on 'Trousdale Drive, a public street,
between the El Camino Real and Sebastian Drive is here-
by determined and declared to be 35 miles per hour.,,
SECTION 2. The Chief of Police is hereby authorized and
ected to procure appropriate signs giving notice of said prima
acie limit and to erect the same along Trousdale Drive between the
1 Camino Real and ,Sebastian Drive.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be effecti�e 30 days after
is adoption or when said signs are thereafter erected, whichever
all first occur.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be published as required by
