HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 0750ORDINANCE NO. 750 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED "ENGSTROM AND OTT PROPERTIES" TO THE CITY OF BURLINGAME The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain as follows: WHEREAS, on the 4th day of December, 1961, the Council of the City of Burlingame did pass and adopt Resolution No. 62-61 giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited and privately owned territory to the City of Burlingame, said territc being therein designated as "Engstrom and Ott Properties", said resolution describing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 62-61 did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City would hear protests made by any person owning real property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than 1+0 days nor more than 60 days from the date of passage of said resolution; and WHEREAS, on the 15th day of January, 1962, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Burlingame, County of San Mateo, State of California, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 62-61 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that protests had not been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the privately owned territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assessment roll as determined by said legislative body; and WHEREAS, the whole of said territory is privately owned and is contiguous to the City of Burlingame and is uninhabited territory in the County of San Mateo; NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of Burlingame does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City of Burlingame, and does hereby further ordain that the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the Ci of Burlingame. That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Burlingame is herein approved, is all that territory situate in the County of San Mateo, State of California, more particularly described in Exhibit A attached hereto, incorporated herein and made a part of this ordinance by reference. I, Herbert K. White, City Clerk, do hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 15th day of January , 1962, and adopted thereafter at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 5th day of February 19627 by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen: Byrd, Johnson, Lorenz, Martin, Morgan Noes: Councilmen: None Absent Councilmen: None Herbert K. White - City Clerk EXHIBIs A All that certain real property siLuate in the County of San Mateo, State of California, being Lot 7 in Block 1, and a portion of Hillside Drive, as said Lot, Block and Drive are shown_ on the map entitled "BURLINGAME HILLS NO. 21 3AN 11.ATEO COUNPX, CALIFORNIA", which map was recorded August 23, 1926 in Book 14 of I/aps at pages 18 and 19, San Mateo County Records, and being more partic- ularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the most easterly corner of Lot 7, as shown on said map; thence along the southeaster- y line of said Lot and the south westerly production thereof, S 18 50125" .4 164.44 feet to the centerline of Hillside Drive; thence along said centerline from a tangent that bears N 71009'35" d, along the are of a curve to the right having a radius of 390 feet and a central angle of 5019203", an are distance of 36.20 feet; thence tangent to the preceding curve, continuing on said centerline, N 65050132" -4 77.93 feet; thence tangent to the preceding course, continuing on said center- line along the are of a curve w the left having a radius of 370 feet and a central angle of 4012'2811, an are distance of 27.17 feet; thence leaving said centerline of Hillside Drive along the southwesterly production of the northwesterly line of said Lot 7, and along said northwesterly line, N 19057' E 168.50 feet: to the wast northerly corner of said Lot; thence along the northeasterly line of said LoL, 3 65009'50" E 138.36 feet to the Point of Beginning.
