AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1725.1 OF THE 1941 ORDINANCE
CODE OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME BY PROVIDING FOR AN INCREASE
IN THE RATE OF SEYJER RENTAL CHARGES
The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 1725.1 of the 1941 Ordinance Code of
the City of Burlingame as amended by Ordinance No. 563 adopted
October 4, 1954, is hereby further amended to read and provide
as follows:
111725.1 SEWER RENTAL - SERVICE CHARGES
Every person whose premises in the city are served by a
connection with the system of sewerage of the city whereby the
sewage or industrial wastes, or either or both, are disposed of
by the city, either through the facilities of the sewage treatment
and sewage disposal works of the city, or otherwise, shall 'pay a
sewer rental charge based upon the quantity of metered water used
in or upon such premises of eight cents per thousand gallons of
water so measured, whether such water is derived from a source
other than the city water supply or all or any part of such water
is furnished to said premises without charges; provided, however
(1) that a minimum monthly rate of ten dollars shall be
charged and collected from all premises having a connection with
the sewerage system of the city and not using city water;
(2) that every person whose premises outside of the city
are served by a connection with the system of sewerage of the city
shall pay a sewer rental charge based upon the quantity of metered
water used in or upon such premises of fifteen cents per thousand
gallons of water so measured; and
(3) a summer irrigation and sprinkling credit in the
amount of twelve thousand five hundred gallons per calendar year
single family
is hereby allowed to each/premises within an R-1 district.or
R-1 use in other districts within the city limits."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once as
required by law.
