AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2400.11(d) AND
2400.12(e) OF THE 1941 ORDINANCE CODE AND PRO-
VIDING FOR THE MAXIMUM WINDOW SILL HEIGHTS IN
SLEEPING ROOMS IN GROUP I AND J OCCUPANCIES
The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1: Sections 2400.11(d) and 2400.12(e) of the 1941
Ordinance Code of the City of Burlingame are hereby amended to
read and provide as follows:
"Sleeping Room Egress. Every sleeping room
below the fifth floor in a dwelling, apartment
house, apartment hotel and hotel shall have at
least one openable window of sufficient size to
permit emergency exit or rescue. Such window shall
have a sill height of not more than thirty-six
inches (36") above the floor."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once as
required by law.
I, Herbert K. White, City Clerk, do hereby certify that
the foregoing ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council held on the 18t"day of May, 1964, and adopted
thereafter at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the
1st day of June , 1964, by the following vote:

Noes: Councilmen: None
Absent Councilmen: None
