AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
THE CITY OF BURLINGAME BY ADDING §18.08.382
AMENDING §3804(c) OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING
CODE, 1964 EDITION, VOLUME I, TO PROVIDE FOR
THE INSTALLATION OF ONE DRY STANDPIPE WITHIN
EACH STAIRWAY IN EVERY BUILDING FIVE STORIES
OR MORE IN HEIGHT.
The City Council of the City of Burlingame does ordain
as follows:
Section 1: The Municipal Code of the City of Burlingame
is hereby amended by adding §18.08.382, amending sub-paragraph(c)
of §3804 of the Uniform Building Code, 1964 Edition, Volume I, to
read and provide as follows:
"§18.08.382. Section (c) (2) ADDED - DRY STANDPIPES IN
FIVE -STORY BUILDINGS.
"§3804 (c) - NUMBER REQUIRED.
111. Every building four or more stories in height where
the area of any floor above the third floor is ten
thousand square feet (10,000 sq, ft.) or less shall be
equipped with not less than oredry standpipe and an
additional standpipe shall be installed for each addi-
tional ten thousand square feet (10,000 sq, ft.) or frac
tion thereof.
012. Every building five stories or more in height shall
be equipped with one dry standpipe within each stairway
in which no dry standpipe is required to be installed
pursuant to the provision of sub -paragraph 1, above."
Section 2. This ordinance shall be published as re-
quired by law.

the foregoing ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the
City Council held on the 6th day of September, 1966, and adopted
thereafter at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the
19th day of September , 1966 , by the following votes:

Martin.
NOES: Councilmen: None
Absent Councilmen: None
